Creating Stages to share your assets
Introduction
Fluxiom allows you to create Stages—secure, shareable websites that automatically display files associated with specific Tags in your account. Stages are dynamic and update in real time as files are added or removed. Access to a Stage is limited to the users you invite.
Creating a Stage
Tags define which files appear on your Stage. If you don’t have Tags yet, start by creating one or more Tags and applying them to the relevant Assets. Learn more about creating and assigning Tags here.
- Click the Reset Button next to the Search field to display all files in your account.
- Select a Tag (or multiple Tags) to preview the files your Stage will display. This is what invited users will see.
- Click the Stage Button to open the Stage Creation Panel at the bottom of the screen.
Setting up a Stage
The Stage Creation Panel lets you customize your Stage:
- Title: Add a descriptive title so users understand the purpose of the Stage.
- Message (optional): Include a message for users. This will appear in their invitation email.
- Preview Mode: Check “Sneak Preview Stage” to allow users to preview files but prevent downloads. This is useful for protecting intellectual property.
- Invite people: Enter the email addresses of the people you want to invite, separated by commas.
-
Click CREATE STAGE and Fluxiom will
- Setup the Stage
- Send invitations containing a link, username, and password.
- Email you a copy of each invitation for your records.
Editing Stages
To manage or edit a Stage, go to the Stages Tab in your Fluxiom account to view all active Stages. From here, you can:
- Invite additional users.
- Revoke access for specific users.
- Delete a Stage entirely.
Accessing a Stage as an invitee
Invited users receive an email with their login credentials and a link to access the Stage.
Following Stage changes
Stages automatically generate RSS feeds with links to newly published files. Invitees can stay informed by setting up email notifications or subscribing to the RSS feed in the Menu > Notifications settings.
